District Cooling: Overview
District Cooling is an urban utility service that involves the centralised production of chilled water for distribution to buildings for air-conditioning purposes. A centralised district cooling service would optimize land use and reduce business costs.
A district cooling project is now being implemented in designated service areas in Marina South. The occupier of any non-residential premises situated within the designated service areas who requires air conditioning must use the district cooling service provided by the district cooling service licensee for such purpose. Correspondingly, it is mandatory for the licensee to provide the district cooling service to the occupier of such premises.
