EMA is proud to have received the various certifications, awards and accolades listed below. These are a testament to our unwavering commitment to corporate excellence.

2011Organised annually by Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI), the Singapore HR Awards celebrates leading organisations and HR practitioners in their drive for impactful human resource strategies. EMA was conferred the Leading HR Practices in HR Communications and Branding Award on 12 August 2011. This award emphasises how the HR function communicates policies and changes to employees to establish and obtain clear understanding and buy-in, as well as on the role that HR communications plays in employee branding and change management strategies that ensures business success.

2011EMA was conferred the SHARE Platinum Award in 2011. This award is given by Community Chest and is a tribute and endorsement of the fund-raising efforts of the award winners towards community giving and corporate social responsibility and their partnership with Community Chest to help those in need.
2011EMA was conferred the Meritorious Defence Partner Award on 20 July 2011. This award is given to employers which have implemented National Service (NS) friendly human resource policies to facilitate their NS employees to fulfil their NS commitment with peace of mind.

2011The Eco Office certificate, awarded by the Singapore Environment Council, recognises EMA's efforts in implementing environmentally-friendly policies, recycling practices, and consumption and waste management strategies.

2011The BCA Green Mark Scheme rates buildings according to five key criteria - energy efficiency, water efficiency, environmental protection, indoor environmental quality, and innovative green features - that contribute to a better building performance. EMA has achieved the Gold standard under this benchmarking scheme.
2010The Smart Electricity Government Award was conferred to EMA at the inaugural Asia Power and Electricity Awards 2010. This award recognises the efforts of an Asian Government agency in creating a conducive environment for the adoption and development of smart energy technologies. The award is also a testament to the dynamism of the energy landscape in Singapore.

2010People Developer (PD) is the certification for organizations that achieve the Business Excellence Niche Standard for people. The niche standard provides organisations the guidelines for the requisite systems and processes to achieve high performance through its people. The Standard covers 5 of the 7 categories of the Business Excellence Framework, namely, Leadership, Planning, Information, People and Results.

2010Singapore Quality Class (SQC) is the certification for the overall business excellence standard. Based on the internationally benchmarked business excellence framework, the SQC provides organisations with a holistic model comprising 7 categories, namely Leadership, Planning, Information, People, Processes, Customers and Results.
2010EMA received the Public Service Milestone Award in May 2010. We have received a similar award, which was formerly known as the Public Service Award for Organisational Excellence in Jan 2008.
This award is given by the Public Service Division to agencies that have attained a cluster of business excellence standards, which mark the important milestones achieved by organisation in their journey towards organisational excellence. The cluster of business standards that EMA has achieved to-date and enabled us to qualify for the Public Service Milestone Award are the Singapore Quality Class, People Developer Standard and ISO Certification.
2nd Frontier Licence Review Award
2009EMA was conferred the award in recognition of our proposal for ‘Conversion of Electrical Technician Licence to Lifetime Licence’, which translated to projected annual cost savings worth $1.4 million (equivalent of time saved).
The Frontier Award programme is managed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) Research & Enterprise Division, Ministry of Finance (MOF) & Infocomm Development Authority (IDA). It is intended to encourage agencies to pro-actively review their licensing processes, with an aim to create a competitive pro-enterprise environment and derive cost savings for businesses and government agencies.

2006The Singapore HEALTH (Helping Employees Achieve Life-Time Health) Award is presented by the Health Promotion Board to give national recognition to organisations with commendable Workplace Health Promotion (WHP) programmes.
